- Ervin George Cluppert was born on September 22, 1914 in Green Lake County. He is the Son of George and Minnie (Harmel) Cluppert. He was united in marriage to Bernita Klawitter on November 14, 1940 at St John's Lutheran Church in Montello. Ervin & Bernita farmed together for 57 years. Ervin enjoyed farming, gardening, playing cards and putting puzzles together. He passed away at Markesan Resident Home on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the age of 95 years 5 months 6 days.
Ervin is survived by one Son Allan (Diane) Cluppert of Markesan; two daughters: Shirley (Pete) Heckes of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Jean Cluppert of Traverse City, Michigan; four Grandchildren Melody Sanfrey of Macon, Ga. Jennifer Schneller of Avon, Ohio and Robert and Jami Cluppert, both of Markesan; seven great-grandchildren: Elena and Lily Sanfrey of Macon, Ga. Tyler Schneller of Avon, Ohio, Jordan, Memphis and Mia Espinoza of Markesan and Hailey of Markesan. Ervin was preceded in death by his wife Bernita, parents, one son Robert, six brothers Fred, Alvin, Verne, Carl, Floyd and Elmer; 5 sisters Ella Cluppert, Delia Ehrenberg, Dora Bazely, Mary Gneiser and Elise Burt.
Funeral service for Ervin will be at 1:30PM March 4, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marquette, WI; friends and family may visit at the CHURCH from 12PM until the time of service. Pastor Michael Plagenz will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Marquette.
